LET RESULTS March 2023: Elementary and Secondary List of Passers


In March 2023, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Manila, Philippines administered the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) for both Elementary and Secondary levels. The PRC Board of Professional Teachers released the results, which included the complete list of passers, top 10 examinees, and the overall performance of schools, within 15-45 working days after the last day of exams. The testing centers for the LET were located in various cities including NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Catanduanes, Catarman, Kidapawan, Jolo, Sulu, and Tawi-tawi.

On March 19, 2023, the Board Exam for Teachers was administered at various testing centers located in Metro Manila, Antique, Bacolod, Baguio, Pangasinan, Bohol, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Cebu, Davao, Digos, Dumaguete, Iloilo, General Santos City, Kidapawan, Koronadal, Ilocos Norte, Legazpi, Lucena, Marinduque, Masbate, Mati City, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Romblon, Pampanga, Laguna, Tacloban, Tagum, Tuguegarao, Catanduanes, and Zamboanga.

The Board of Professional Teachers is headed by Dr. Rosita L. Navarro – Chairman, Dr. Paz I. Lucido – Vice Chairman, and the members, Dr. Paraluman R. Giron, and Dr. Nora M. Uy. 


Registration Schedule and Requirements for new LPTs


The schedule for online appointments to obtain the Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for new LPTs is yet to be announced for the year 2023. Initial registrants are advised to complete the online registration process through the PRC official website at https://online.prc.gov.ph/. The following are the registration requirements:

  • Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Two (2) passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
  • Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
  • One (1) short brown envelope

The PRC has also stated that successful examinees must register in person and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.


How to verify my board exam rating?


The PRC Board of Professional Teachers allows for the online verification of ratings and test results for the licensure exam for teachers. This service will be available a few working days after the initial posting of results.

To check their passing rate for the board examination, successful test takers can visit the PRC official website and use the Verification Page. The only information required to be provided by a passer is the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first and last name, and birthdate.



When and where is the Oath-Taking ceremonies?

PRC has recently initiated in-person oath-taking ceremonies for new professionals. To participate in the face-to-face mass oath-taking event, successful examinees must register no later than 12:00 NN on the day prior to the ceremony through http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance. The date and type of ceremony, whether in-person or virtual, will be announced on the same website. Additionally, inductees must present ANY of the following documents on the day of the oath-taking:

  • Vaccination Card
  • Negative RT-PCR results obtained within 48 hours prior to the oath-taking

It is recommended that inductees register and confirm their attendance in the region where they took their licensure exam and plan to register as a professional.

Those unable to attend the scheduled in-person mass oath-taking event may opt to participate in the online oath-taking or request a special oath-taking ceremony.


What is the coverage of LET?

The March 2023 licensure exam for Teachers, both for elementary and secondary education, covered the following topics:

General Education (GenEd)

  • English: Study and Thinking Skills, Writing in the Discipline, Speech and Oral Communication, Philippine Literature, and Master Works of the World
  • Filipino: Komunikasyon sa Akademikong Pilipino, Pagbasa at Pagsulat sa Panananaliksik, at Masining na Pagpapahayag
  • Mathematics: Fundamentals of Math, Plane Geometry, Elementary Algebra, and Statistics and Probability
  • Science: Biological Science – General Biology, Physical Science with Earth Science
  • Social Sciences: Philippine Government New Constitution with Human Rights, Philippine History, Basic Economics, Taxation, Agrarian Reform, Society, Culture with Family Planning; Rizal and other Heroes, Philosophy of Man, Arts, General Psychology, and Information and Communication Technology

Professional Education (ProfEd)

  • Teaching Profession, Social Dimensions of Education
  • Principles of Teaching, Educational Technology, and Curriculum Development
  • Facilitating Learning, Child and Adolescent Development
  • Assessment of Student Learning, Developmental Reading
  • Field Study and Practice Teaching

In addition, specialized subjects were covered in the examinations for the following specializations: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies and Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and Technology, and Livelihood Education.

When is the next LET?

The next Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) will be on March 26, 2023. The start of application is on December 26, 2022, and the deadline of application is on February 27, 2023. Another LET is scheduled on September 24, 2023, with the start of application on June 23, 2023, and the deadline of application on August 24, 2023.


Previous Exams

The Licensure Exam for Teachers is a program that attracts a large number of examinees and is administered by the PRC. In the most recent LET held in October 2022, 54.43% of elementary-level examinees and 50.94% of secondary-level examinees passed. The top performers in the October 2022 LET were Baby Patricia Tabamo Bensi and Ma. Catherine Cauba, who both scored 94.60% in the Elementary level, and Jessiree Flores Pantilgan, who scored 94.60% in the Secondary level. The June 2022 LET had a passing rate of 50.54% for the elementary level and 50.48% for the secondary level. Charline Tiquin Juntilla and Marvin Cabel Nillas were the top performers in the Elementary and Secondary levels, respectively. In the March 2022 LET, the passing rates were 48.81% for the elementary level and 41.72% for the secondary level, with Maricris Quingco Colipano and Kim Paulino Ravida topping the Elementary and Secondary levels, respectively. The September 2021 LET had a passing rate of 57.17%. However, in September 2019 and March 2019, the passing rates were 36.32% and 20.22%, respectively.
